February Reflections: Warming Into the Year With Intention

This year has already been full (in the best way) but instead of rushing ahead, I’ve been really intentional about warming into it. February feels like that in-between moment where momentum is building, routines are settling, and you get to decide how you want the rest of the year to feel.
For me, that word continues to be intention; in my work, my education, and the way I show up for you.
Continuing Education That Supports Better Results
One thing I truly believe in is never staying still. The hair industry is constantly evolving, and the best way I can serve my Arizona clients is by continuing to learn, refine, and expand my skill set.
So far this year, I’ve completed two advanced color classes focused on techniques like balayage, dimensional color, and grey blending — and I’ve already signed up for another class in March. These aren’t just “trend-based” techniques. They’re methods that help create hair that looks better longer, grows out more seamlessly, and feels more aligned with your lifestyle.
Education keeps me inspired, but more importantly, it keeps your results elevated.
Stepping Further Into Education as a Stylist
Another exciting chapter I’m leaning into this year is education; not just behind the chair, but beyond it.
I’m so excited to be hosting my first extension class as an educator this April. Teaching has been something I’ve felt called toward for a while now, and stepping into this role feels incredibly aligned. It’s about sharing knowledge, raising the standard, and supporting other stylists the same way mentors once supported me.
That educator mindset also carries over into my client relationships. I want you to feel informed, confident, and empowered when it comes to your hair, not rushed, confused, or unsure.
Balancing Big Goals With Grounded Routines
Outside the salon, I’ve also committed to a big personal goal this year: I’m training for an Ironman 70.3 in July, with official training starting March 1.
While that might seem unrelated to hair, it actually mirrors the same philosophy I bring into my work: consistency, patience, and intention over quick fixes. Whether it’s training, hair health, or personal growth, sustainable results come from showing up thoughtfully, not forcing the process.
Creating Space for Communication
As I continue to grow this year (as a stylist, educator, and human) I’m also reflecting on how I can better serve you. One thing I’m focusing on is becoming more educational with my clients and even fellow stylists.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to understand more about when it comes to your hair? Maintenance? Color longevity? Extensions? Scalp health? My goal is to create space for those conversations so you feel supported every step of the way.
Moving Through February With Confidence
February isn’t about reinventing everything. It’s about settling into the year with clarity, confidence, and care — especially here in Arizona, where this season feels vibrant, active, and full of life.
If you’re working toward new goals this year, I hope your hair feels like a reflection of that — healthy, intentional, and uniquely yours. And if you’re not quite there yet, that’s okay too. This season is about warming up, not rushing ahead.
As always, I’m grateful to be part of your routine, your confidence, and your journey this year.
